First fruits is a covenant blessing. It is the manifested token of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Areas of our lives where we experience new income, new revenue or any fruit in a certain area of our lives is a token of the resurrection or first fruits.
The giving of our first fruits is to express our gratitude for the resurrection that we have transitioned from death to life or from where we could not produce a harvest(not bearing fruit) to bearing fruit. First fruits is a token than impacts our accomplishments.
Christ is our first fruits. He is the reason why we bear fruit in every area of our lives. He is the reason why we have a new job or new opportunity, or become productive in a certain area of our lives. That is why we dedicate our first fruits to God. He made it happen. In the area where we were dead or barren we experience these new beginnings because of Christ’s resurrection. First fruits aligns us with Jesus. It aligns us with the resurrection from the dead.
We must dedicate our first fruits to the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Giving first fruits helps us make the right decisions. God anoints our decision making with our first fruits. God touches our perspectives so that we make the right choices, decisions and methods(token of the eye). We align ourselves with Jesus’ resurrection from the dead when we give the Lord our first fruits. First fruits gives us the ability to execute rhema or have spiritual insight and revelation.
