Week 4 Message Post- By His Stripes

Week 4 Sermon “Take Home”

Sermon Theme: By His Stripes

Sermon Text :Isa 53: 2-6, John 9:1-12,

2 For he grew up before him like a young plant, and like a root out of dry ground; he had no form or majesty that we should look at him, and no beauty that we should desire him.

He was despised and rejected[a] by men, a man of sorrows[b] and acquainted with[c] grief;[d]and as one from whom men hide their faces[e]he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

Surely he has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows; yet we esteemed him stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted.

But he was pierced for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his wounds we are healed.

All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned—every one—to his own way; and the Lord has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

Jesus paid the price for our healing- we need to know the ways that Jesus heals.

God’s methods of healing include:

-Healing through His word…we get healed by God’s living word

-Healing by the blood of Jesus

-Healing in the Name of Jesus

The Bible talks about how we are God’s workmanship. Adam is from the word Adama which means ” Earth Man”. Adam was part of God’s workmanship and he needed to work with God in order to name the animals. In the same way we also  must work the methods of God’s healing in order to see healing manifested in our lives.
